Children’s Minister

About- I have been children's minister at SCBC since 2006. I adore our pastor, to whom I have been married since 1986. Our mutual admiration for each other has produced four wonderful children: Salim, who lives in Dripping Springs; Quinton, who is at Howard Payne University, majoring in Christian Studies; Garith and Laina, who attend Dripping Springs High School.…More Details

About- I have been children’s minister at SCBC since 2006. I adore our pastor, to whom I have been married since 1986. Our mutual admiration for each other has produced four wonderful children: Salim, who lives in Dripping Springs; Quinton, who is at Howard Payne University, majoring in Christian Studies; Garith and Laina, who attend Dripping Springs High School.

Prior to my work at SCBC, I stayed home with our children, taught preschool, and was a social worker and a juvenile probation officer. I graduated from Wayland Baptist University with a B.A. in psychology.

Loves- I am passionate about God, worship, family, children….and, oh yes, grape soda, donuts and ice cream!

What Inspires Me- Butterflies and birds always inspire me because they remind me of God, our Creator, and His transforming handiwork in my life and His Presence throughout my day.

My Favorite Book(s)- My favorite books are the Word, Praying the Names of God (Ann Spangler), The Good and Beautiful God (James Bryan), and One Thousand Gifts (Ann Voscamp).

My Favorite Movie(s)- My favorite movies are chick flicks and romances, such as Sweet Home Alabama, Steel Magnolias, The Man From Snowy River, and Cinderella.

What I would like to do in my spare time- I would like to spend more time journaling each day and working in the barn with a horse named, Spirit.

What I actually do in my spare time- In my spare time, I actually read, take bubble baths, and spend time with family and friends.
